GONG Royal Porcelain
Hotel Service 38 parts, 2006
The service Gong with its modern unique look is inspired by the simplicity of nature: It resembles the ripple of the water surface when a stone is thrown into a pond. Gong expresses itself through a consistent design based on a repeated element, the "Circle within the circle". This element is used as a link between more than 50 hotel range items. It gives the service a strong identity, and works as a basic functional element as well as a decorative one. The plates have an elevated inner ring for presenting food within an aesthetic frame. For all hollowware the circle element on the lids is used as an asymmetric element in a clear differentiation to the rotated plates with their central elements. The saucer carries the "circle" element for functional value: You position the cup onto the "Circle". The cups also show the "circle" inside - a new feature in the market.
